While line-drying your clothing can be nice on a warm summer day, it can take a long time. Thankfully, most of us are able to use a clothes dryer machine to speed the process up. You rely on this machine to do its job effectively but, if you want to continue to rely on it, you may need to double-check that it has the support it needs.
As you probably guessed by now we are talking about checking on your dryer vent. Without this part of your system, your dryer would quickly overheat and cause a lot of problems. But what if your dryer vent is just clogged with lint and debris? The same issue applies!
Nobody wants to think about worst case scenarios. What is the point of doing so, after all? You cannot live your life in a constant state of agitation, just waiting for the proverbial hammer to fall. You have to get out there and live your best life! However, there is a big difference between taking precautions and being proactive vs. expecting the worst case scenario to come to fruition. In fact, preventing that worst case scenario is the whole point!
You better believe it. We understand that, provided it is doing its job (drying clothes), a lot of homeowners probably do not give all that much thought to their clothes dryers. The responsible ones will remove and clean the lint trap before each and every load, of course. However, the actual vents of their dryers, which release heat and moisture and, yes, lint, into the air outside go largely unconsidered. This is not only irresponsible, but potentially dangerous.
